I was a car guy until I owned a truck then afterwards I got a SUV. I'd definitely want to get a new truck because I actually used mine when i had it carrying plants, mulch, plywood, furniture, scrap, trailering, etc. I'd want a car for daily commute though if I can't get an electric pickup. Cheapest new cars are the Mirage and Versa and they feel like $17k vehicles. I have concerns of how they'd fair in a collision with a 7000lb vehicle
