Notre Dame joining the ACC for everything except football

agree with Rekka but damn man, I really hate this muthafukka Swofford. He's to us what Beebe was to the Big XII...he's in the back pockets of Duke & (and to a bigger extent) UNC. And I don't think any commish has been as detrimental to his conference than him. He's continually bending over for basketball when it's football centered world. I see why Boeheim was raising such a hissy fit when the Orange made the jump. HE KNOWS!!!! If anyone joins, I got a feeling it could be Louisville or UCONN (which I don't want them anywhere near the ACC) but I understand the economics of it all

Don't get it twisted...his Duke and UNC dikkriding is legendary (he is a UNC alum after all), but even I have to give him props for his moves the last year plus. He's still a fakkit, but not a fakkit.

Y'all can wish upon a star that they'll be a full member like we did, but when an entire conference caters to you, there's no need to question independence.

And if Louisville gets left out...with a solid football program, a top basketball team, and successful Olympic sports

All bullshyt aside Y'all should have dipped this summer for those reasons. Basketball is king in the ACC but it's a football centric world rite now. N because of that this conference will never be on the SEC n B12 level

Big East associate commissioner John Paquette told ESPN.com that Notre Dame must pay the conference a $5 million exit fee and provide 27 months' notice before leaving. The fee would be significantly lower than those paid by Pittsburgh and Syracuse, who both negotiated $7.5 million settlements to leave the Big East and will join the ACC in July 2013.

Wholeheartedly agree with both....all it will take his someone to have the nuts to tell them all sports in or nothing but it's not going to happen...Slive may be the only one with the clout to do it

If FSU and Miami ever get their shyt together again and Clemson would stop underachieving , it can be.

It doesn't even make the football conference that much better. It just makes basketball awful. Some of these schools making changes are writing death certificates to their basketball program just like BC

Louisville better get on the phone with Bowlsby (Big 12) Swofford and Slive (SEC) right now if he knows what is good for him. He probably has a good shot at the Big 12, but I know OU doesn't want to do the championship game thing. Slive is like unless he has to. So that leaves them giving Swofford daily blowjobs to be that 16th team when Notre Dame fully joins. 10 years tops before ND fully joins the ACC.

That's gonna be interesting. I'm leaning yes they will at least until that new 10 year BCS contract that starts next season ends. But if they don't do it....I expect ND to fully join. Swofford and Swarbrick are being tight lipped on that shyt right now of course, but you know there are talks about full membership down the road.
