but he didn't make any excuses...manned up after the match and admitted he got bested

but MJ got to working on getting ready to play baseball...he didn't just quit and go home especially not in the middle of the Finals either

and lets not forget to mention the murder of his father playing a role either

“When I lose the sense of motivation and the sense of, to prove something as a basketball player, it’s time for me to move away. It’s not because I don’t love the game. I always will. I just feel that I have reached the pinnacle of my career.”

Michael left basketball because of mental health. No one took mental health serious in 1993, so that’s where the conspiracies came from.

but MJ didn't say this after a bad game 1 performance in the finals nor did he say after abruptly retiring in the middle of the finals, he said this after the Bulls won the chip and in the offseason. There's a fundamental difference how Jordan handled this compared to Biles & Naomi.

I'm not knocking no one for taking care of their mental health, I am knocking folks for using it as an excuse (that I perceive) to avoid criticism. MJ still took care of the task at hand. Simone looked shaky to start, got a bad score and then dropped out...Naomi stopped playing which coincided with the 2 majors on the surfaces she struggles the most with

I'm not saying I'm not possibly wrong here about both Biles & Naomi...I'm just pointing out how things look to me

How each person handles the situation has nothing to do with why they ultimately stopped.

If you dont like the timing or the way Simone handled it, thats whatever. But to imply that shes lying about her mental health just to avoid criticism after admitting that you dont even know her situation or anything about her career to this point is the problem. You gotta make up your mind.

If you actualy watched the olympics youd see that something was clearly eating her before the competition even started. Gymnastics isnt like basketball. If youre not 100% focused you could end up maimed or cripped for life. We are talking about someone who is 2x better at her sport than MJ was at his.

And Naomi skipped a major on one of the surfaces she actually excels in, so that statement is incorrect.

You can't go in depth with details on why Jordan deserves a pass and then proceed to ignore the details on everyone else's situation.
