DETROIT (Do Every Thing Right Or It's Trouble)
The No Doubt
NWTS( If Drake has a classic it’s clear to me that it’s this on) I’d say this would be better than GNX for now

The Debatables
More Life(A better version of IYRTITL)
Take Care(Clearly it’s great but also clearly The Weeknd, he’s never been able to replicate this)
Thank Me Later(yes I am higher on this than most)

Lesser Debates
Views(Too pop and filler)
IYRTITL(would have been higher but hasn’t aged great)
CLB(His most underrated project)
NWTS was not better than Views or IYRTITL. And More Life was just a dancehall/pop version of IYRTITL, not a better version.

Easily.

And not because it's some world breaking album.

My favorite projects from him are NWTS and IYRTITL. Can play them all the way thru. Great sequencing. Views had a lot of tracks I would skip… just my opinion.

Edit: I do play More Life a lot too, but it just feels too long as a project.

It's a classic case of 'better than everybody else, not better than your own' album. Kinda like Graduation for kanye, or Vol 1 for Jay, or Hip hop is dead for nas

This was a light album lyrically by kendrick standards. Not just bars but in topics. He's usually heavier than this. Not just compared to his history but even recent tracks. Watch the party die was :lupe: My guess is he purposely toned it down after Mr Morale wasn't received well which is still confusing to me.

A lot parallels to this and Volume 2. 'Fine, give them bops'. Only difference is Jay is a 1 of 1 he can give you bops whilst having elite bars/content. Kendrick didn't quite do that so it's a lil bit more Vol 1 than Vol 2. Again till a good album
