Now This! Some Americans Won't Get Their Stimulus Checks Until August

According to a memo obtained Thursday by The Associated Press:


The IRS will make about 60 million payments to Americans through direct deposit in mid-April, likely the week of April 13. The IRS has direct deposit information for these individuals from their 2018 or 2019 tax returns. Then, starting the week of May 4, the IRS will begin issuing paper checks to individuals, the memo says. The paper checks will be issued at a rate of about 5 million per week, which means it could take up to 20 weeks to get all the checks out. That timeline would delay some checks until the week of August 17.
The staff memo says the timeline was based on “extensive conversations with the IRS and the Department of Treasury.” The timeline is subject to change, given ongoing discussions between Congress and the Trump administration.

paper checks were sent from 16th of may all the way to late september

hell i knew some older people got theirs in october...

1.) Fill out a form on a website
2.) Upload a photo of your ID
3.) Enter your direct deposit info or mailing address

Everyone with a social security number gets a check.

But we don't live in a simple or civilized world or country

they not dumb..the check will comeback...n then it would be mailed out...

new address ..it will get returned and bounce around until it finds whomever it is for...and will have yellow stickers

Wouldn't everyone just game the system though? Actually, your way would probably be best if people were able to input their 2018 tax information to show that they were eligible.

Edit: Not everyone has a bank account either, that's probably why they mailed their return.
