This is what I don't get: Why sign a player if you don't trust him for even 1 minute in the NBA finals?

fukk Marion, where the fukk is Joe Harris? He's a 40% 3 point shooter... Who's to say he doesn't get in the game and ring off 4 straight 3's?

Now that I think about it... THis is probably the worst coaching display in sports history. It's to the point of being offensive.

I'll be honest with you: I blame LeBron.

If I'm out there busting MY ASS and I left south beach to come back to THIS CITY to win a championship, and some guy who's never coached in the NBA is doing some fukk shyt, I handle it.

I tell Rich to Tell Gilbert to Tell Blatt: You don't play Marion, you will no longer be the coach of the next game....

Yea, fire him in the finals, I don't give a fukk.

What the fukk type shyt is this dude on?

I blame Lebron from Marion not getting burn. There's no way I'd go for it. I'd sit blatt down one on one and try to understand his fukkin point

Man I feel the same way.. Bron has to say something about this because he knows more then anybody what it takes to win a championship

Dellly played great, but at the end of the day he's a bench player playing starter minutes in the Finals.... And clearly the man has started to wear down.. nikka gotta got to the hospital for IVs and shyt :mindblown:..

Give that man a rest and play Marion, who's bigger more physical and has played in these type of games before..

It's a disgrace the Matrix is going to retire like this not even seeing a minute of action..

I don't care what Marion has or has not done in the reg season.. The playoffs is a whole different kind of animal, and he's a proven player in this format

Blatt should try everything at his disposal but it's Game 6. If they leave him out there for a five minute stretch and he sucks, it could finish the series.

Yeah I guess when you put it that way its a tough call, bein that its an elimination game its probably too late to try to switch it up,especially considering these games have been so close....as much as Marion COULD be a game changer on some slim chance:patrice:.....If the games hadn't been so close I would say maybe he should put him in....but no reason to get desperate and throw a hail mary now and look like a idiot

Iman and JR are better shooters than Marion. Marion has been struggling to finish at the rim all season too. It'd be interesting to see him as a small ball center to counteract Draymond but besides that, I don't see what he gives them.

They haven't been better shooters than anybody throughout this series though. Nobody had demonstrated they warrant the minutes they have been getting outside of Bron, Tristan, and Mosgov. At worst he gives them a body and minutes.

I think his style be would perfect fit for GWS style instead of Cavs. His style won't work for the Cavs.

DALLAS – One of the major stories coming out of these NBA Finals is the fact that Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt has refused to play Shawn Marion at all against the Golden State Warriors.

A 16-year veteran who can effectively guard both guard and both forward positions, Marion has yet to play in any of the five games against the Warriors thus far. And that baffles Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki, who won an NBA title alongside Marion in 2011.

"He’s still a very, very good defender, a very good rebounder at his position,’’ Nowitzki said Tuesday morning at the Mavs Basketball Academy Hoop Camp at Episcopal School of Dallas. "But obviously I’m not there to judge the whole situation.

"But I thought he might get some run, especially against the quick lineup (the Warriors) go with some times, or they start with it now where (Draymond) Green is at (center) and (Andre) Iguodala is at (power forward). You figure even (Mike) Miller or a smaller guy would get some run, but I’m not the one who makes decisions.’’

Marion played just one minute in the Cavs’ first-round series against Boston, 11 minutes in the second round against Chicago, and 13 minutes in the Eastern Conference Finals against Atlanta. A teammate of Nowitzki’s from 2009 through last season, Marion has already announced that he will retire after this season.

The Warriors lead the best-of-seven series against the Cavs 3-2 with Game 6 set for 8 tonight in Cleveland.

Wait. There are people who think Blatt makes personnel decisions?

Gonna trust Blatt's judgement over the fan view. Wasn't that long ago where people were raving about him out coaching Kerr
