Based on purchases of the $40-$100 Founder’s Packs. This game definitely got the juice :mjlit:

EA money into F1 for Codemasters has helped. The presentation for this and Grid Legends is far better than when they were independent. This was my first F1 this year but you also have shows like Drive to Survive on Netflix pushing the sport. I'm going to get F1 manager on the 30th as well.

The Show is Multiplatform now.

Can't speak to the others as I don't play them

multiversus has the chance to be the next fortnite

The only other company with big enough IPs to compete is Disney, which apparently Player First Games went to with the idea first but they turned it down

I got a lot of love for smash but that online is too :flabbynsick: for 2022. With no more new Smash content or games for the foreseeable future while Multiversus is gonna opt for the long-term GaaS route, I can see this game becoming the main platform fighter in a few years if they keep supporting it. They already had their first Evo last month with a $100k prize pot

I agree, even though multiversus mechanics imo still don’t feel halfway as good as smash, they have the number advantage. As big as smash is (i think its around 40m copies right now?) it can’t compare to a popular multiplatform GAAS title, its just not possible and this is before the game even has a switch port itself.

PC, Playstation, Steamdeck, Xbox, (sooon IOS/Android) you’re looking at combined install base of over 350m+

And warner bros have an endless ocean of IP. If they can get the Harry Potter licensing worked out…whew

They are big enough to do what fortnite has done but you are right, they can use any of their properties but they just have to make sure they get the balancing right. Skin swaps are easy, introducing a new fighter isn't the same.

There is something special about MVS, I enjoy the Mechanic's more than smash. It also is easier yet more difficult at the same time (not execution wise)
