Anyway, one of the many things I found interesting that they pointed out was how they talk about the victims. From the onslaught they always refer to the deceased as "the bad guy" and never by name. It has a dehumanizing effect from the start.
i just looked up the npr live stream and they were talking about some dude writing a book about gay sex :hovtrump: i cant cosign this thread
isnt it everyone's? i thought it was national![]()
It would be more beneficial for you to take notes while watching this long video and note the time stamps if you feel videos are the best way for you to create engaging discourse. Also, maybe your own opinions on the points given.

nothing salty about calling out hypocrites, but I'll let you tell it.
Someone still salty about that post.
Pretty much.Main context in here is the element of hate,it exist when a black person is involve in any interractions with a white person .
Regarding Charlotte, it's crazy that he's allowed to be called the Suspect, but not the Victim by the Judge. The reporter danced around instead of calling it what it is

i would guess victim would be assuming guilt before the verdict. i dont think a judge would want to do that and it would probably result in an overturn of the conviction if it had happenedRegarding Charlotte, it's crazy that he's allowed to be called the Suspect, but not the Victim by the Judge.![]()
I think that's fair, but that logic should also apply to the suspect. Especially when at the point of the trial we know he wasn't breaking into a home and had a broke down car.i would guess victim would be assuming guilt before the verdict. i dont think a judge would want to do that and it would probably result in an overturn of the conviction if it had happened
You can either talk about the issues or talk about your agenda.dont fit the CNN agenda no more huh?
i think everyone in court should be referred to by name to avoid this kind of thing. it does subtly influence juriesI think that's fair, but that logic should also apply to the suspect. Especially when at the point of the trial we know he wasn't breaking into a home and had a broke down car.
But the point which I think I lessened is that they're allowed to dehumanize them.
