1.) First paragraph is a lie, I've taken the liberty of bolding the part where you contradict yourself. That figure you put up is outdated by about 2yrs but was clear 5yrs ago... Lol at CD beating digital. I don't even know where to buy a CD today, I guess target? Does Wal-Mart still have the ban on explicit lyrics?

2.) You prefer to stream your collection, what's the difference then :wtf: The won't have everything you like, but they will have everything you don't know about. You'll discover new shyt. And they'll have most of your old shyt too. These days it's all free. As for quality, they even do that, it's not a tidal exclusive. Just go into options on any of the major streaming places like spotify/etc. Higher quality, uses more data.

3.)phones don't have the data to stream big files :laff: I pay $40 for unlimited internet. But streaming music doesn't even count against data if I didn't have unlimited. You really are living in the past :wow: You just learned about flac, so it's clear you gotta learn up about these future technologies bruh, cuz the future is already here
Wrong breh. The first time digital outsold physical was 2016.

I keep trying to tell people, stop thinking about yourself and your friends. Just cause you are doing shyt, doesn't mean everyone else is.

Yes all those places still sell cds. No I am not buying them. Yes millions of people still are, as the stats prove it so.

If all this shyt was dying, and nobody was buying it, do you think all these stores would still stack isles of CDs? You think they don't do market research? You think they just keep them there to waste money?

2. I stream in my house from my extensive library in the house over wifi. No bandwidth. No searching. No money. No ads. No problems

3. I have ATT. Im not going to pay more money for unlimited to pay for streaming sites to stream half of the music I want to find that day and most of the music I can't. This is hip hop. nikkas dropping throwaway tracks and mixtapes by the day. None of which is on streaming sites.

If you doing that, cool. I never knocked you for doing so. But that's not what I'm doing :yeshrug:

Yeah, unless the headphones/buds are high resolution they're not gonna hear much of a difference using some funky 10-50 dollar product.

I have some very good 50$ IEM buds and I can only tell a slight difference. i'll only move to flac once I get some better ones

Sir, your statistics are flawed because of two huge factors. We don't buy, we stream. And before streaming was Ann option we didn't buy, we just illegally downloaded. Kazaa, likewise/etc. Are those numbers in your stats? You think only a handful of people did those things?

Of course not. Now back to the original disagreement.. Your grandkids, your kids will not give a fukk about the stuff you think is important. So you have kids? You think skinny jeans nikkaz of today would wanna listen to the fugees? :usure:

You obviously didn't read the article cause it does take into account free streaming sites like YouTube and others. So you still wrong

Second, do people still listen to Michael Jackson on records? They sure do. Do we still listen to 90s music even tho that was 27 years ago? Yup. So why wouldn't my kid listen to unreleased 2pac that can't be found on Apple in 20 years?

I don't know what type of children you are raising, but my son won't ever touch no skinny jeans or listen to trash music

So you ignoring the fact people also illegally download music. It's not this niche thing that you can overlook when compiling data  Anyone on this site had downloaded illegally. Your collection is mostly illegal downloads is it not

The countries that have the largest populations like China. Nah, they don't "bootleg" either right? Think about what I just said there. Then address it or throw in the white towel :francis:

As for your kids. You mention Michael Jackson an all time Great which tells me you had to reach to keep from sounding CRAZY and you still failed. Who the fukk is playing Michael Jackson on vinyl? Where, an old folks home?

He won't listen to trash music or wear skinny jeans? You ain't no fukkin parent or you still wet behind the parental ears. You don't dictate non of that shyt. Influence, sure, dictate, forget about it. Unless you teaching your child to be a weak muh'fukka who can't think for himself  2Pac music isn't today special to the youth. They feel all that music is outdated. They claim they are on a higher level :mjlol: the skinny jeans, that's all they sell I stores these days, YOU WEAR SKINNY JEANS if you bought a pair of jeans in the last five years. Comedians been pointing that fact out for years now.

You live in a bubble, now get off my lawn :old:

I'm gonna wrap this up cause this is starting to derail the thread

Yes people illegally download. But CDs still sell, A LOT. Or stores wouldn't be selling them.

No. Not everyone is buying records. But companies still sell them. People still have record collections. Record players are still sold in stores. People still like the sound and feel of records. I picked MJ cause he's old. Check amazon. Kendricks new album is on records and they are still releasing old 80s and 90s shyt on records. Once again. A lot of stuff you can't find on streams

You're right. Kids are influenced. And their parents should be a huge influence on them. If all I do is play my era of music in the car. From birth to whenever he gets his own, I'm sure he'll be influenced by it. If all I buy him is non skinny jeans shyt, he will be influenced. If I tell him young thug is not a man and wearing that bullshyt is fakkitry, he'll be influenced

Is he a robot that will do everything I say, hell no. Might he end up going his own way. Sure.

But we all do shyt our parents do. We like teams they liked. We like shows they liked. We like music they liked. We tried to emulate them consciously or unconsciously.

If I die tomorrow and my hard drive is sitting there. My son would surely scroll through some music and play it. And since I do have classic music in there, he may pick and choose to keep some shyt he likes and never heard before. As I'm sure to do when my mom dies and I get all her records

Well MP3 was a victim of the times in every sense of the word. The quick and small file sizes was perfect for the dial up era and I'm sure even your microwave can play MP3 files.

I'm glad people are moving on, because there's much better out there. I wish Vorbis got a better shake.
