No I wouldn't be in favor of such measure.
But why though? It's just following you argument to it's logical conclusion.
"They don't have to worry about it if they aren't criminals". I reject this wholeheartedly as an excuse.
I don't view taking a shyt or jacking off as a crime or shameful activity but it doesn't mean I'd be willing to do in the middle of times square for everyone to see.
But in terms of spying on someone and arresting someone are two different circumstances.
They are, but arbitrarily collecting data on people might lead to a feeling of imprisonment. What's to stop the government from using this data to entrap or blackmail vocal opposition to these entities?
Imprisoning someone already subdues and restrains them. For the most part, the need to spy would become null and pointless.
Isn't the point of spying to lead to a case to subdue or restrain criminals?
