Why couldn't they stop James Holmes from shooting up the movie theatre? Why couldn't they stop Adam Lanza? Wade Michael Page? Jared Lee Loughner?
The scope of what the NSA collects, monitors, and tracks is not as broad as people are building it to be from their hyperbolic responses.
But the brothers did have the CIA, the FBI, and Russian officials up their ass. The CIA wanted to put them on the FBI terrorist watch list.

Man, don't give me that shyt. These things are not implemented to stop terrorism of any kid. It's coercive tactics to keep people under some form of submission. Sometimes it nets a positive hit but is it worth it? NO.
The ONLY thing that needed to be implemented after 9/11 was some fukking bolt locks on the planes' cabin doors. That's IT. The FBI submitted to the President about an up coming plot to attack the US, including pointing out that some Muslim cats were learning how to fly planes while not caring about taking off and landing. That shyt was IGNORED.
This about control. It's about the status quo remaining the status quo.
So, it's no wonder that the PATRIOT Act and FISA are being used as a dragnet and is targetting journalists and protesters.

the thing is though, if someone like a jill stein ever got in, she would almost certainly be forced to move to the centre i just dont think this country at large is liberal at all. the president can only really reflect the country. its why when people were protesting obama from the left before the last election i was still like, he is probably the best we got. fk a libertarian. probably the most heartless political movement out there. the best you can hope for is a flwed liberal. until the country at large shifts significantly left. well, its gonna be non stop bill clinton, obama types.
Please my breh this program is bs and all this data thry are compiling is for more uses than preventive measures. You said it yourself they were watching those brothers and did nothing. Im sure they have their phone records credit card purhases and web history.
Who stopped the close call situations on board the jets in years past with the shoe and underwear crew, passengers & us marshal.

hahaha i kinda felt the same way, sometimes i still do. but the president has no control over whats going on. the president is put into place to make it seem like the people have voting power. this country has long been run by banks and corporations. obama is just a pop culture icon to make government 'cool' and basically a scapegoat so people wont see whats going on. thats why they are dumbing the people down by closing schools, cutting education, pushing tv and ipads into the public. basically making us trained monkeys.

Although this a huge 4th Amendment issue, what's left of it......The the last 10 years the majority of the Bill of Rights has been "gettin that work", but the 1st Amendment has largely been free of issues ... all of a sudden this is released .......
I've been saying since the sohh days..... if we loose our Bill of Rights, we are literally without a legal foundation to stand on = Neo - Slaves ...... everything becomes arbitrary versus rules that guide governance ....
