fukk bail reform, need to be talking about speeding up the trial process. On bail from a 2021 incident. Of course bail more likely to be granted with those kinds of wait times. They are presumed innocent since they haven’t yet been found guilty so you’d need very convincing justification to rob an innocent person of two plus years of their lives.

It looks like the one that got killed had the shooter shook. Dude walked in and dude went for his hammer in a very amateur way. Could have gotten his shyt taken form him. Dude looked at him like he wasn’t gonna do shyt… didn’t take him serious. dude Ego got the best of him and man down. Sad situation.

How easy was it for him to get that gun? How were the terms of his release enforced? How much was the bail? How was he able to post it?

A lot of people fukked up leading to this. Dude should've never been able to access a pistol, never should have been allowed to be alone outside of his house or released only to the custody of a family member who signs a document affirming that law enforcement would be notified of every person who is coming into the house and keep that record.

What the articles want you to think is that bail is the problem and if the amount was impossibly high, this wouldn't have happened. That's a tempting position to take until you remember that bait designed to only catch one type of fish isn't what you use to feed a large family. The majority of people who are in custody awaiting trial are locked up on no or very limited evidence and are actually innocent. Because the courts move slowly they're locked up, they've lost their jobs and they're missing out on key family moments and having a gap in their employment history which will make it harder for them to get back on their feet. The system as is, needs to be reworked. The funding for police departments needs to be allocated more on staff who can monitor and track people released on bail and to enforce the terms of release. More money needs to go to courts too to hire more staff so paperwork gets processed faster.

Yea that dudes ego did him in and he also had no situation awareness. He didn't even peep the step the shooter took towards him as he turned back around. Anyone can see that in their peripheral vision as intent for someone to do bodily harm to you.
