I seriously don't understand how they managed to do something as stupid as that. I mean.. the "Is it a controller for the Wii?" was what a lot of people I personally knew thought.

Many folks didn't even know it was a new system. Hell, the actual system looked just like a Wii to make it worse. I guess they thought it'd be a NES to SNES situation and it'd be common sense.

Haha, also didn't help the shytty E3 reveal where they tried their hardest to make it look like a Wii accessory and not a new system.

Now I know I said that im staying out of NX threads till they officially reveal it but the guy that leaked the PS4K on Gaf posted this:

To add context to my previous post (I was asked via PM) without going into too much detail any game that runs on the XB1 or PS4 should run on the NX with little to no issue. What developers choose to or not to port to the console will more than likely depend on consumer support for the thing.

Now I know damn well this wont stop you from spouting Nintendo is doomed shyt but it's something to think about.

Nintendo is not doomed because they make smart financial decisions and don't take many risks. They are the best in the gaming industry at knowing how to make money.

I think most just want to see Nintendo become a major player in the console space again.

Not using X86 is not a wise move. They will pretty much have to sell equivalent to at least what Microsoft is doing in order to attract many 3rd parties.

Can't go in with an architecture people have abandoned, not have strong sales and expect 3rd parties to hop on board.

Nintendo, WTF man. It's like they want to go the opposite route just for the sake of being different these days. Stick to what the industry is moving on to and develop dope ass games...wtf is all this bullshyt. The Wii U SHOULD have been a success damnit, I love that damn controller.

Nintendo will never attract third parties again. They burned those bridges a long time ago. Their systems will continue to be what they always have been which is proprietary Nintendo boxes.

Huge difference between doomed and irrelevant. Nintendo is smart enough to maximize profits off their dwindling fan base. In the home console space they're almost completely irrelevant. The Wii U probably won't even top 15 million sold its entire life. Easily their worst selling console yet.
