WWE confirmed today that NXT will begin airing on the USA Network starting on September 18th. In a press release sent to Wrestling Inc., it was noted that WWE and the USA Network reached an agreement "in principle", and that the show will be live for two hours every week.

"The move to USA Network provides an opportunity to deepen our relationship with NBCUniversal and further build the NXT brand," said WWE CEO Vince McMahon. "Over the long term, our goal is to develop a following that can be monetized to the same level as our flagship programs, Raw and SmackDown."

WWE also confirmed that the show will take place each week from Full Sail University.

Vince McMahon Reportedly To Become More Involved With NXT
Published 1 week ago by Louis Dangoor

NXT is currently one of the single best wrestling brands out there. The storylines are detailed and engaging, with the black and gold brand boasts some of the best in-ring workers on the planet.

Up to this point, the company has been spearheaded by Triple H, but that could be about to change.

NXT is set to move from the WWE Network to FS1 by October. If reports are to be believed, then NXT will now be a two hour show, going directly head-to-head with AEW’s new TNT TV show.

Report: NXT To Be Given Same Time Slot As AEW Weekly Show

With NXT becoming a live TV show on a major cable network, Dave Meltzer has reported that Triple H’s influence on the show might decrease.

Taking to Twitter, Meltzer states that Kevin Dunn and Vince McMahon would “have to” be involved with NXT in some capacity when it goes to FS1 and begins running for two hours.

Old ass report, Dave was just answering a question as to whether he thought Vince would be involved. He didn't say he WAS, he just assumed he would be.

There's been multiple reports since then saying they want NXT to remain the same and others suggesting Vinnie mac will be involved.

None of these dudes know shyt.

Vince is not going to travel Monday Wednesday and Friday when he has to be in Stamford for those creative meetings during the middle of the week plus whatever XFL demands of him.

His plate is way pass full.

That doesn’t say Vince is a going to be more involved.
It was noted that the WWE Chairman will likely stay hands-off for the most part, at least as long as the NXTratings are good. Vince doesn't have much free time as it is these days, and he will be even busier when his XFL football league launches in February 2020. Vince would likely get more involved if AEW ends up winning the Wednesday Night War ratings. A lot to do with NXT's future is up in the air and open to change at this point, including a possible move out of Full Sail Live, the increased use of major main roster Superstars, and other ideas, suggestions or changes.

If NXT is gonna be on a major station and competing with AEW you gotta be real gullible to not think Vince is putting his hands on the product
