It wouldn't make sense for Ego to near kill Ricky and for the latter to suddenly have smoke with Oba. As a babyface he has to get a final win over Page first.

It looks like Oba might have a program with Jasper in the meantime. It's going to be interesting to see if they fast track Troy to the title or Oba beats him on some "you're hungry and have potential, but you still have a lot to learn" type of shyt.
