I thought the way they used everybody that was there for that night was done quite cutely. they weaved it well

the one mistake was giving a chunk of the show to three English guys and three Scottish guys that most of the people watching weekly and all the extra viewers wouldn't give a fukk about. there are much fresher and better guys that could have been showcased in that slot.
