Dakota Kai is a couple years past when she rightfully should've been given a run with the title and then been called up already.

They were so deadset on her and Tegan doing the Ciampa/Gargano thing that Tegan's constant injuries were just an anchor on Dakota.
And by the end of it all, Tegan ends up on the main to a whimper and Dakota is basically doing the same storyline, except with a much bigger 'best friend' to work opposite.
