Balor is a midcarder too, he may be a little attraction cause of the paint. But his size and moveset is upper mid card, his height and accent will stop him from prospering... Owens can fill a Punk type void. But you already know these cats have their ideas of who and what they want on billboards and ESPN First Take and shyt.

Thing is, he doesnt get hurt like that, can work a decent match and play the goon/lackey role well. Those guys are key to WWE and they last a long time usually.

Austin did all those things and still was a face. It's more complex than that... we're not in the era of heels getting on there knee's and putting out there hands for handshakes anymore. There is more of a grey area these days.
Owens exist in that area. I know he's "supposed" to be the bad guy. But he's not getting genuine heel heat, people feel his motivation and they support that. He doesnt downtalk anyone, he doesnt cheat, he's just a bad ass. In kayfabe he's basically saying "fukk heel, fukk face, i'm me." thats a tweener.
