You don't understand.
Some days I be craving some Jamaican food bad. Get off work, getting all excited, bout to go the restaurant and get me some Jerk Chicken white rice, plantains, and some sorrel or pine ginger.
Go into the restaurant, don't see any Sorrel or pine ginger, ok I'll get some Soursop instead.
Go to order my food, no jerk chicken for another hour. Ok I'll get curry chicken instead. No White rice or plantains

If you find a good local Jamaican spot that people would recommend then you should go to that spot. When I was in NY my cousin would always take me to this Jamaican food truck and the food they served is delicious.

Another quirk bout Jamaican restaurant.
There's always 1 item on the menu that they never have, and Will never have. Was Escovitch Chicken at the last spot I used to go to.
For me its Jerk Goat & Whitting. Even though it's on the menu by me it's never there

For example Jerk Pork is usually served on Friday/Saturdays while certain soups & porridges are only available on certain days.
Most of the time them shyts be ordered In advance so cats know which days to pick them up.
I'm still waiting on a shrimp roti from this place I go to. Everyday it's "we go have that tomorrow"

I only like the chicken ones. Beef pattise are too heavy. But if you want a VERY affordable lunch that will carry you to dinner, patties, cocoa bread and kola champagne hit the spot. Add in a peanut punch for dessert(ish)
