When Young Jeezy blew up exactly a decade ago. That was when the 808s southern shyt took over and brehs were too scared to speak up because they wanted bytches to shake their asses in the club to simp to. :francis:
Why does Jeezy get credit for this? T.I. did it first with the "Trap Muzik" album in '03.

FLEX TOO BUSY INSERTING HIMSELF INTO BEEFS FOR RATING THAN TRYING TO BREAK A NEW YORK ARTIST. AND NO, BEING PAID TO PLAY TROY AVE ISNT TRYING TO BREAK AN ARTIST.

TI did make noise, but he officially didn't become a superstar until 2006. Summer 2005 was all Jeezy.

:patrice: T.I. was definitely the hottest Rapper in the game in 2006, but he was pretty hot in 2004-2005 with the "Urban Legend" album. Y'all remember this Vibe Magazine cover?:

T.I. wasn't using "Trap Beats" that's why.

Listen to "Air Forces" by Jeezy.

T.I. didn't have anything sonically like that in his albums, til this day he still doesn't have any type of production like that.

That reason is becuz T.I. could actually spit unlike most nikkas rapping over trap beats.

It's a shame I was listening to OVO Radio 40 did a better job than these nikkas dropping New York hip hop and having some actual diversity.

Dude played Rowdy Rebel "Kevin Durant" and even brought out the classic "Fastlife" with Kool G Rap and Nas. Hot 97 plays the same top 40 bullshyt.

Every hour Rihanna, Omarion, Fetty Wap, Jiddena and Future are playing the same fukking songs. Every now and then they'll throw in some French and Chinx, Drake, Fabolous, Meek and J. Cole.

A$AP Rocky and Joey BADA$$ have good albums out, French and Chinx have more bangers than "Off The Rip", GS9 has hot shyt for the streets Abillyon just put out a mixtape and Corey Finesse got heat. Dave East is nice, Troy Ave gets hate but he still a local artist with decent music show love. The Milly Rock kids just put out a Milly Rock remix with Maino support these young BK nikkas. Play some fukking throwbacks to balance shyt out have an actual mix support local artist!

This shyt is sad. :mjcry:
They do...

Hot 97 been dead to me. I'm glad last night exposed things on a broader scale so everyone can see how much of a joke it is. It's sad when I go to Toronto and I hear more love shown to NY artists on the radio.
