tough year for New York bruhs

It hasn’t been a whole year yet since Sean “Diddy” Combs launched his music channel Revolt TV, and already, the network is struggling in the face of the challenges it has encountered. The fact that Time Warner Cable and Comcast are in a proposed merger isn’t going to make things any better.
Revolt TV is partially owned by Comcast, and the proposed merger is discouraging other companies from picking it up. This could prove financially fatal for the new entrant. After all, on average, it takes about $100 million to launch a new channel, and advertising is the primary source of income for most networks. But, in the case of Revolt TV, other cable companies are not picking it up and this in turn is making it unattractive to potential advertisers.

One of the tiny hopes for the network is the financial backing of Sean “Diddy” Combs. Combs is worth several hundred million dollars, and may have to dig into his deep pockets in order to save the network. But the massive costs of running a network are tough to handle for even the wealthiest Americans, and Diddy is the first to admit that his wealth is not liquid.

@ this being an L for NY when most of NY doesn't even get this channel
