As a New Yorker I see nikkas cursing at the police and starting shyt with them for no reason. Not that some of them don't deserve it, but in a lot of cases it's out of thin air. Breh in the video starting shyt and none of them were even bothering him. There's plenty of other videos like this out there. If they ain't bothering you, don't bother them. We gotta take some accountability. Once they harass you for no reason, then by all means go in.

Not really. Because he's also been proposing some pretty meaningful state police reforms lately. So he'll be able to say "look, I support the police, but NY state was took the lead in enacting police reform". It's a balancing act.
No government executive (Mayor, County Executive, Governor, President) can "not" be pro-police. That's a death sentence. But they do have the choice to support police reform/criminal justice reform or to be Mr./Ms. Law & Order.
