NY Jets CB, Kris Boyd, in critical condition after Sat. night shooting in NYC

New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was shot and critically wounded in Midtown early Sunday morning and is now clinging to life at Bellevue Hospital, police and sources said.

The shooting took place on West 38th Street near Seventh Avenue around 2 a.m., according to police, who did not identify Boyd as the victim.

However, sources said it was the 29-year-old NFL cornerback.

Cops said there have been no arrests and the shooting is under investigation.

I wouldn't speculate about stuff like that, because 2 AM outside of a club could be anything from an attempted robbery to a drunk fool showing out or it could just be a clown that was jilted by a broad in the club. It is sad that people can't just be out and have a good time without dumb shyt happening.

The last NFL player who got shot (Josh Reynolds, also currently on the Jets ironically) allegedly got targeted by some jealous dudes. Granted we're only talking about a couple cases of NFL athletes getting shot but I just don't understand going to clubs as an athlete late at night. Especially right now with so many dudes fukked up and desperate.

You're rich and an athlete in New York. There are much better ways to have fun than hit a club.
