2.5b in 1950........7.3b in 2015

If we keep multiplying at that rate there would be about...21 billion people in 2080...and 60 billion in 2145........Then they'll need to allocate more space for Cemeteries........Yeah, Something needs to be done

I'll probably get negged for this, but some people should not be allowed to reproduce (Rapist, violent criminals, child molesters, Drug addicts, etc,etc,etc...)...But where would we draw the line?

Unfortunately, If a law was created/passed to stop specific people from reproducing. Certain people/organizations in power would target black people.

Exactly. People with mathematical insight, can see the disaster that this can lead to.

There's a ton of space on this planet where humans do not occupy. Also humans are "intelligent" they can produce their own food and resources.

Also, edgelords who say there are "too many people" aren't offering to kill themselves to help solve the problem.

This people who say; there's too many people never have any metrics to back it up.

Its not population, its consumption. All you have to do is get on a plane or take a drive across country, its rural ass hell man. This is all code for "the world is getting too brown."

It's both. Obviously people in rich countries are producing a much higher portion of climate emissions, but the population is still 7 billion plus.

There's still a point where population size is an issue, especially if you want to bring up the standards of living in poorer countries. The earth can't realistically support, say, a trillion people.

Its not both though. Its a consumption issue. 7 billion is a long way from a trillion.
If three people are in a 4000 sq/ft home and there isn't enough space its not a population issue, its a consumption and hoarding one. Thats where the earth is. There is plenty of space and natural resources, we have a behavior issue. "Purging" people wont fix the issue if the habits are already there.

The amount of space is irrelevant. There's just not enough resources on the planet to feed and support a trillion people.

Also you can get way the fukk out of here with that "purging" strawman, I never said anything at all like that :camby:

People are the ones doing the consuming.

If you drive 50 miles a day and generate 100 lbs of garbage per week like most people in America then you and me are the issue.

The other idea can also be true. That the person who made this statement is a racist.

But overpopulation is its own problem no matter if there's a racial component

There arent too many people. White people want to have every single comfort, luxury, and resource this planet has to offer and only see a problem when other people want the same. White people want to keep hogging all the resources and polluting with reckless abandon and since they cant curb their own greed they blame other people existing for the worlds issues.

Maybe dont have ordinances where all the homes have to be on one acre minimum plots in the middle of fukking nowhere. Thats a strain on resources! Maybe dont have ordinances banning mass transportation. Thats another strain on resources! Maybe dont have golf courses in the middle of the dessert. Thats a strain on resources!
