I started tackle football in 5th grade.

They didnt offer it until that age. Honestly playing tackle as an 8 year old always seemed stupid. I played flag up until I guess 10 years old.

Good for you. But the earlier some kids play, the better they can become.

This is a shytty rule because at that age, kids rarely hurt themselves to the degree that they do once they hit their teens.

Your kid cant be signed up for every single thing because the seasons overlap. So you sitting here telling me my kid may be good at soccer but im doing him a disservice by signing him up for football instead. So your kid may have had the ability to be good at swimming, but you signed him up for soccer. Its not like im making the kid sit his ass at home instead of playing soccer, he will just be doing something else, like football, basketball, baseball, swimming, track and field, karate, etc.......

If when he gets to middle or high school he decides he wants to give soccer a go then he is free to do that. But im saying when he is 6 years old im gonna have him in baseball or something else im interested in and can help him get good at.

I bet if your son grows up to be a soccer star, you'll spend that soccer money

See i said i hate soccer, you clearly dont hate lacrosse you just never played it.

Ive never seen little kids play lacrosse for anyone other than the private school they went to. Ive never even heard of there being lacrosse sign ups at the local park like you have for baseball, football, and basketball.


And why would you want to imagine AP playing lacrosse? He is the best RB in the NFL right now, thats a hell of a lot more impressive than anything he could have done playing lacrosse.

Tons of black kids are playing soccer now.

that particular instance is the coach's fault for not drilling home proper tackling techniques. That kid CLEARLY led with his helmet.

That's the coaches fault Gotta teach these kids how to tackle correctly.

It was a reply to show that 50 lb kids can still get rocked playing football, not a critique of poor coaching.

I highly doubt the injuries that come w/ football are happening at that level, the speed of the game simply is not there.

I remember reading some team got crushed like 55-0 and a half-dozen players ended up with concussions. That might have been an older group of kids though.
