The bolded was exactly how I thought they should have done it [besides the Halloween part, that would have been smart]. This third party also would have to have been in a verifiably different place at the time of the robbery [as an alibi, even if they tied the robbery to the mask if said person was somewhere else on camera then they would have been off the hook]

The photograph was just stupid, I don't know why they felt they needed any further intimidation factor, I think a gun proves the point. That also may have added on to their time, the fact they stalked them with intent to do some kind of harm Im sure added major points against them.

The going on trips was just stupid, they would have blown that money and been back to robbing a year later anyways

the initial heist was well executed but copping those Hollywood style masks in such a pedestrian manner fukked them up big time. You cant be out there planning to hit a lick and then order the shyt like you're buying from Amazon Prime. shyt, buy the mask with a GreenDot debit card, have it shipped to your peoples in DR and then have them send that shyt to someone you know in the states. And why even try to hit up check cashing spots in NYC if you plan on living/chilling in the city for the foreseeable future? If I'm gonna be committing armed robberies in a big city then my exit plan is already mapped out along with having a valid passport (and a fake) on deck. NY is a big place but when the cops/feds are looking to close in on you here, they will find a way to get your ass. Every couple of months you always hear about them arresting dozens of gang members who are involved in all kinds of bullshyt. Meanwhile, the feds have been watching for 2-3 years, building a case and waiting to make that move. Cats don't realize that the feds got ALL DAMN DAY to sit around and watch your dumb ass committing crimes and shyt.
