We have the same tradition here with my family.

I wish this was blasted all over social media and talked about like someone who tries to teach u the reality of what u did wrong and many hate him for it. .

I forgot it would be considered uppity, boring and classicist to lift up this family as something to aspire towards.

I find it interesting that NYT is doing a lot of solid reporting of black people. A lot = 2, but more than their average of 0.

Trying to change their image, I feel like during the last 2 elections people have been on them for lying about the iraq war.
