Just finished shoveling around the house and my car. I can't front, I feel like a warrior when I be done shoveling. Pretty decent workout. The last storm I waited the next day to start shoveling, and that snow was heavy as fukk and the sanitation plow kept plowing the snow back on my goddamn car. Prolly won't be moving my car till afterwork on Friday.

i was stuck on the NJ throughway for like 12 hours with like 50,000 other people getting out of their cars just to complain to each other.

How are public schools still open in the city today ? They're telling people to stay indoors today but they keep the schools open, my gf had to take a sick day because she wasn't going to bother with commute...and I wasn't shoveling her car out at 6 in the morning.

my brother lives in DC and he told me they cancelled his work yesterday for like 3" of snow

They probably didn't have any more days to spare after closing schools a couple weeks ago. And that was a somewhat manageable amount.
