Idk about East. But I'm confident y'all do the same
On the East Coast we never downplay our legends, innovators and greats unlike the South who catches attitudes whenever somebody speaks of their legends.

I've witnessed and heard southern hip-hop fans speak down on their own innovators and legends with distaste, fans from the south don't even fukk or recognize Memphis, Texas etc.

Southern fans only care about popularity, sales & radio play which is the only thing y'all mention every time these convos are brought up...y'all don't care about quality hip-hop.

Contrary to popular belief the south fell off after the 90s in quality y'all never improved just downgraded, should thank the record labels that convinced people into buying that garbage for keeping your coast afloat because otherwise y'all...

"Ain't Sayin Nothin New".

There's a reason why the general conscious is that the South is killing hip-hop...even some of the south's legends would agree.

Let me tell u something lil man. I'm a hip hop head. You cant just say dumb shyt and not get called out on it. You first quoted me debunking the troll about NYC rappers not killing the charts. Now U jumping all over the place talking about The West doing G Funk. First of all lil man...Trap music (which is the southern influence) has infiltrated all coasts...East , West South, Midwest....Its even infiltrated Latin America and the UK. So u cant just say dumb shyt to me like I'm not gonna call u on it. So what I'm gonna do is just give u 2 examples from the biggest west coast reps this deacde.

Nipsey

Kendricks breakthru hit not only was a trap beat originally made for Trey Songz who is from VA but it had that Texas screwed up chorus on the hook. And the song is called "Drank"....It dont get no more Texas then that.

And I can post a shyt load more west coast rappers who do trap but I proved my point. So u coming in here talking like the west dont do trap too is asinine.

And then you had the nerve to talk as if NYC rappers still dont do that old new york sound like Joey Badass and Pro Era dont exist. Roc Marciano, Action Bronson, Griselda, Stro and Keen Streets all from this decade repping that NYC sound.

Nas just dropped Lost Tapes 2..NYC sound. Jay Z dropped 444....NYC sound and it went platinum.

I dont wanna talk to you anymore because you keep making stupid statements like a troll...you dont know Hip Hop at all and Its Friday night and I got a baddy sitting on my bed waiting to wrap her legs around my back.

You can have the last word...I'm done.

first Im not a southern nikka.

second, ok so you meet a few southern nikkas who do. Who cares that dont mean that speaks for the whole region. I meet nikkas from NY who can care less of that "old shyt" as well as others from the other 3 regions.

You got nikkas here in the West who will disrespect Snoop, dre, Pac etc. That dont mean they speak for all us Western nikkas.\

and south after the 90s still have classics from Jeezy, T.I, Ross, and Wayne so stop it.

Southern hip hop in the 90s was waaaaay better than it is today.
Yes, but y'all shyt on those artist in the 90's and championed the worse ones now. Then have the nerve to talk shyt. All the great artist then were marginalized or blackballed by NYC biases.
