These are the laboratories for national policies. When the municipal, state, and federal government are all aligned, you will see a noticeable change in your standard of living (e.g. govt benefits during covid that slashed child poverty and gave people a chance to make the change to new jobs)

I do hope Black & Latino people vote for Zohran in November though, Cuomo was winning by a big margin among that group because of familiarity with Cuomo.
