Republicans listen to their base and win elections. These morons are so desperate to feed their addiction to hoarding wealth they won't even live to enjoy that they refuse to learn the lesson the republicans had. They were fukking DONE after Obama. The ones that didn't listen to their base got demolished by trump. These pussies at the top of the DNC didn't want bernie to have the same influence in the opposite direction and did everything they could to outspend, bullshyt, and misrepresent him and his ideas.
Its going to happen eventually. A trump-like liberal who refuses to crumple under pressure and engages heavily with regular people, a man who speaks both in elevated language to the intellectuals and at a level even the dumbest people in America can grasp will show up. He won't be a dinosaur who doesn't know what a .gif is. He's going to be in streams, on podcasts, in the street chilling with workers on their break or showing up at union meetings. He'll be in local barbershops getting shaved and cut. He will be in local shops and big grocery chains. He's going to make america familiar with his face and his voice and he will validate their fears, acknowledge and empathize with their anger, and propose solutions that people have always thought of and one's they never could have imagined. He's going to be the type of thing these guys hate the most. You've met him in at least one of your jobs. He's the type of person who knows how to actually stand up to management and back you up. He's the kind of person you don't worry about offending even though he might out rank you. He's the kind of guy management hates but can't do anything to stop him because he knows how the game is played and they know he's even better at it than some of them.
That guy will show up and they'll throw everything they have to try to destroy him instead of letting him take the party in a better direction. But they will fail, because their failures have compounded too high. Their lies are too weak, their corruption is too obvious and they're too emotionally and technologically inferior to understand how the movement that guy represents is a better direction for how people should see their communities and themselves within that community. These soulless ghouls will be too decrepit and compromised to dupe the same amount of people they would've in the past. You can hate a person, you can stop a person. But a movement? A genuine organic social movement with beliefs that are not fully articulated but easily understood by the sum of its parts? That is a genuine threat to the orthodoxy these out of touch millionaires and wanna be millionaires cling to. They're getting dumber and less credible with every gambit and position they take.
It is only a matter of time. A person will show up who taps into the common desires and frustrations of hundreds of millions of Americans. That person will offer compelling solutions. Their counter offer will be more of what you already found lacking.
