Very smart. I've said it before but the socialist stuff really buried the lede about him to me: a lot of his promises are technocratic stuff. Government should work better, the city should work better, etc. A lot of stuff that won't be hard to implement and can make immediate impact on people's lives. If he can hire people who are actually talented instead of reward shytty DSA flunkies then he can be really successful. Khan is a good start.

A lot of what he said fits the mold of both Bloomberg and De Blasio as mayor. A underrated flaw to Adams is he came in with no ideas or ambitions. He was in a lot of ways the response to the perceived lawlessness of NYC during covid which was tied to illegal fireworks everywhere and lack of crimes of opportunities based on people staying indoors due to quarantine.
