Good point.

Im going to take a deeper dive into these numbers
Not surprising. Younger progressive people live in those areas increasingly but they haven’t migrated to the latter. It’s a generational shift. Cuomo was up by like 30 to 40 points among older black folks. The reason PPP got it right in polling and others got it wrong is because, as they said: “we polled who the 2025 electorate was going to be, not who voted for mayor in the 2021 primary.” People assumed it would be the same demos that voted for Adams but younger people and progressives showed up. Pollsters were relying on models of 4 years ago. You always should poll who is showing up that year and they missed it.

You bigging up DeBlasio and Bloomberg as if they didnt sell out NYC out and that it hasnt become the money laundering capitol of the world. Same ones that did rezoning to allow all those buildings that are unoccupied and etc for chinese and russian billionaires to launder their money into. Same folks that basically set up NYC to become a smart city that isnt gonna be for people like you. You gonna be one of those people thats gonna be forced to leave nyc and have to move down to alabama. Keep being ignorant though.
DiBlasio gave New Yorkers free pre-k from when they’re like 3 or so when the big papers like NYT said it’s impossible. Adams took funding away from schools.

Sad part is that this is happening in real time all over social media. Bushwick looking like a college campus full of 20, 30 somethings who live like theyre in a dorm thinking a "democratic socialist" is gonna save them or better their quality of life. :laff: folks treating their rent like college tuition. College isnt the real world though. Thats what folks arent realizing but hey..
Its all branding until the bill comes due :hubie:

You don’t think that was another reason Mamdani probably got elected? Adam’s should be on top of it but he‘s out here being semi retired himself.
Exactly @jilla82 conservative dumbass fails to realize that the mayor can work with the city council to enact rent controls which Adams has no interest in doing. It’s done in cities like Tokyo.

Imagine convincing people they should have voted for sexual abuser Cuomo who had trash policies, trash campaign, and is a Israel dikk sucker on top of that.

Imagine trying to convince someone to vote for Adams when we already let him have his run and he didn't really do anything but take IG pictures and smoke hookah.

You see it. And when shyt goes sour, those same gentrifiers better not try that "we are the new poor" bullshyt so we need "social welfare programs for us" or allow us to do open air prostitution so we can pay our rent as if they didnt help make nyc and the nyc area to become overpriced.

Which is why he's running on building more housing stock. It's a demand and supply issue at the end of the day.
City council already approved city of yes. And a ton of other housing initiatives.

Cuomo ran as an incumbent for a job he never had.

Then you’re just incorrect. You’re right about the corporate interest but it’s not that dominant. Just like the party machine it works best when it happens behind closed doors. The Borough presidents are not running anything. City Council usually wants to rubber stamp shyt the mayor does until it becomes politically infeasible to do so, Adams just got caught being too corrupt that Adrienne Adams said fukk that and went left, the city is becoming more progressive because of ranked voting.
good point
