He could have just not increased the budget. Nothing ballsy about it. He increased the budget 11 billion. From what I read the wallstreet bonuses were bigger than usual, so the tax on that allowed him to get the deficit down to 6 billion.

Obama used his first term boost to get the ACA for the same reason. Trump did the same shyt for the BBB. Sanctuary cities want and can take care of these people, transported the illegal immigrants to them.
Human trafficking is force, fraud or coercion (force and coercion kind of mean the same thing). We are talking about folks who willingly broke a federal law. So, if they want to try him on that then Dems would have to hold the knife in prosecuting illegals.
I believe that’s why they didn’t do that foolishness you suggested.
