I hope you get your passport game going and see other continents. Most food place in NYC shut down at like 2 am. Only thing open is 24 hours are diners and fast food.

I had lots more fun in Vegas drinking in front of the cops and going to parties (not after hour spots) that lasted until 7 am.

Most bars have their last call before 3am. Not much of a difference. I been to too many different places and clubs in other cities to be content with NY altogether.

Nah, the problems are getting worse. Living here outside of being single is a death sentence. It's been transformed to a hipster tourist spot. It ain't like in the late 90s where it was status, it's more of a city with bright lights now. Only people who say different, are in denial of NYC fall off the last 17 years.

There's no doubt nyc has fallen off.
I'm just saying the variety it still provides I think puts it above other major nyc cities

..to me ny was at its best when it had that 'edge'

that 'edge' permeated everything...arts, culture, finance ect

the best and the brightest flocked to ny and actually thrived...

but that edge actually has not gone away....it just got too destructive
ny is not really that progress place of ideas or social change it used to be

it may in fact be the opposite now

we are not even gonna talk about the plight of the working poor and a whole host of marginalized groups
including our own people whose been here before anybody

It definitely has some of the best Italian and Chinese food in the world. But the Mexican food is, Japanese food is better on the west coast, and the barbecue is.

Also pretty much any other major city has almost every variety of ethnic food now a days . This isn't the 20th century anymore, a lot of other cities have close the ground culturally, and New York has fallen back a bit.

It's still a pretty dope city, but the gap between it and other cities is definitely not as wide as it used to be.

Exsctly. Going to a Steakhouse or a BBQ spot down south, is a thousand times better than any place in NYC. Especially from Texas.

You right. The last 15 years, a lot of places covered a lot of ground where the "multi ethnic" label isn't exclusive to NYC anymkre.

Texas also has the GOAT Mexican food, even better than so Cal, which is also really good.

The only halfway decent spot I ever found in ny was Los Hermanos on Starr st in BK.

NYC has a little bit of everything from all over the world here



Everyone from around the world comes here...Such bragging rights are very limited.



We have the west, midwest and the south all in NYC. We have the same type of Hollywood attractions. The fast pace life of 42nd street has always been compared to the Las vegas strip.



We have every race and nationality of the opposite sex.


We have food from all over the world...Even our midwestern pizza is better. LOL. You can go to a hood chinese resturant, U got Americanized chinese resturants that caters to whites like Shun Lee or you can go to chinatown and get chinese food the way chinese make it for themselves.


We have Farms, suburbs, citys and gated communities with mansions.



For fukkery we have every drug imaginable. We have the after hour spots and night life and the underground nightlife after hour spots (like that gambling spot in Harlem Nights, those things really do exist here)





also...Anyone who thinks they're being cute at pointing their finger at NYC Hip Hop not being on top like it once was doesnt know anything about the culture. When Afrika Bambaataa was setting up parameters for the culture he envisioned Hip Hop being done all over the world so he embraced when The south took over as well as the asian breakdancers because that was the original vision Afrika Bambaataa had. NYC not being dominant in Hip Hop mainstream like it once was is supposed to be a good thing because it represents growth but those who dont know the culture will say otherwise
