Being in Paris as a visitor or watching some carefully curated video of Paris could be interesting, I suppose.

I'd like a more walkable city instead of what we have in Dallas.....but only from November to late April.

Cinco de Mayo to Halloween is too damn hot for all that. London & NYC have damn good public transit and streets that aren't really designed for efficient/fast driving.

I think @bnew posted an article a year or two ago about how Europe solved this. They got parking decks distributed in their cities (and under them) specifically for bicycles. I don't remember exactly which country, but I think it was either Netherlands or Denmark.

So the bike theft thing can be handled well when individual citizens don't have tie their transportation to random poles in the city
