Isn't all government spending socialist? Do you believe in that?
And he's the Democrat Party nominee. Rubbing your hands waiting for him to fail makes you what?
this thread is about rent control and socialist type policies.

its been pointed out already that it has never worked and ends up making life more difficult for the avg person.

my issue is people like Mamdani are the blue version of Trump...
they say things that sound good but dont offer anything substantive.

If you want rent prices to come down you have to go after the NIMBY types that dont want more housing (bringing down cost).
We dont see people running on that that because NIMBY people are both Repubs and Dems.

We dont see liberal politicians speaking about a land tax because again it offends both liberals and conservatives.

Many of the possible solutions to our problems go beyond left/right...
but as long as the public only think in terms of left/right its easy to keep them fooled.

It's being pointed out by a spammer with an obvious agenda. But believe what you want.

I cannot wait to watch NYC turn into a mess and Mamdani and his voters blame everyone but themselves
Regardless of what this thread is about you went WAY beyond criticizing this one policy. You made assumptions about him and the people who vote for him. He won the Democratic nomination in NYC in a closed primary. The people who voted for him are strictly Democrats. You predicted failure for him in all aspectd and then also a lack of responsibility for both him and the people who voted him in whoch are 100% Democrats. Sounds very Republican, sorry to break it to you.

none of this has anything to do with socialism or black folks being able to stand on our own w/o the government.
What is your dumbass babbling about, do you even know anymore? :childplease:

black people live in NYC and are directly impacted by a Trump comprised criminal NYC mayor

Black people are also directly impacted by a NY governor willing to send black elderly people to die in nursing homes

Yes you fukking moron the lousy trash running against Zohran have had plenty to do with whats happening with black people.… and as long as blacks are paying taxes in those spaces they are due better representation than the garbage that was previously there

Now if all your stupid ass is worried about is “independence” “on your own” outside of government.…what the fukk are you doing in a thread about government officials and government policy in the first place.…go build your isolation commune and get the fukk on somewhere.…

Actual adults are speaking right now... go take your slow 2+2=7 ass back over with the rest of the drooling clowns where you belong…this kind of conversation if above your level of intellect and comprehension goofy:camby:

I hate articles like this because they're deliberately misleading in how they frame the opposition to this "abundance" bullshyt. Progressive politicians want housing built to meet people's needs, not profit. The opposition is to the same failed market-led model that got us here in the first place. Unleashing capital and mass deregulation is still a recipe for disaster.
