No I'm not. You're dumbass is overcomplicating this. Eric Adams is grandstanding. It's that simple. How hard is that to understand?
I’m not a dumb ass…you are :mjlol:

U keep on trying to school nikkas on civics and freedom of speech and talking about Washington lobbying and a bunch of other bullshyt that has nothing to do what he said. Going to bat for this drill music. :mjlol:

U clearly hate Adams no need to have bad faith arguments nothing he said is invalid whether he’s grandstanding or going to do it or not is irrelevant

That drill shyt rn is nothing but death and killing ops...that shyt is disturbing. I can’t listen to it. Make me paranoid lol

And you got brothers calling this shyt "gym music". They're in gyms lifting weights, motivated by the energy of rappers talking about murdering Black men. This shyt borders on mental illness.

I don't hate Adams, nor am I going to bat for drill music. But to assume that any mayor of a is going to bat for a rapper like Fivio or Rowdy Rebel is comical. Of course he's going to beg Google to ban their videos as if

1- it were an actual cause of the violence in our community and not systematic racism

And

2- the major platforms would actually ban them. Which they won't

3- it wouldn't make it look he's trying to address the proven without actually addressing the problem.

This is performative politician bullshyt

You're underestimating the power the public and specifically black consumers have here.

Yeah, cause that'll make a difference. :rudy:

Let's not pretend the actual 'problem' is:
  • A lack of positive male role models in the house
  • The decline of traditional family structure
  • Decrying the merits of academic achievement because that's "nerd shyt"
  • Lack of generational wealth that leads to endless cycles of poverty

Yeah, it's the dangerous drill music affecting the community and not the lack of a sense of community in the first place.

So you are one of those you can’t chew and walk gum types another poster referenced.

They would remove many videos and do a lot more than that but it’s because of people like you—apathetic people and justifiers that nothing will happen. If enough people shunned it yeah corporations, platforms, labels would listen. The Jews and LGBT get their way because they express public outrage and band together.

You're fukking stupid. What the fukk do you think removing those videos would actually do?

You sound a like a Karen who thinks their child would be in danger from listening to rap music. No drill isn't wasn't forcing these kid to hit licks.

It's what got them in that scenario. Systematic oppression. You're a c00n using music as a scapegoat for white supremacy. It's a symptom of tha

Was back when hiphop was responding like

I’m kinda like :yeshrug: now. That’s why I won’t go too hard against people that don’t like what the Mayor said cause I remember them days.

NBA Youngboy is one of the biggest artists on YT because they pretty much cut him off from the streaming platforms. That logic is so dumb

Dumb nikka why do you want music about kids killing other kids to be at the forefront it’s that fukking simple. Forget about it reducing crime, influencing people, forget all that. WHY do you not care about the music that is being produced and that’s at the forefront as a moral imperative

WHY

I spent my whole Sunday last week watching Quincy Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis documentary

How do we go from the music of the past to this shyt and how does it not bother you :mjlol:

This is a good question and while I don't think you're really interested in an answer, I'll give it a shot.

Removing these videos will send a clear message to the creators that content like it isn't acceptable or allowed. Social media is the primary vehicle for these rappers to build larger audiences and ultimately attract the attention of record labels. Record labels sign these guys to shytty deals but those deals still put money into their pockets, money they can use to finance more crime, see the case of Tekashi 69.

While the music isn't the root cause of the problem, removing the incentive to make the music is a net gain.

:ehh:
