Every thread like this brings out people who view any responses to people wanting to address anti-Black music through the lens of "all or nothing". People in cities across this nation are working to address the root issues, one of those issues is poverty. If kids believe that trafficking in Black death by way of drill music could give them a shot at getting rich, then there's an incentive to move in the ways those crowds move.

I feel like the distinction should be obvious. Plenty successful people in life grew up on street rap and didn’t turn to crime. It’s about ur upbringing and who is raising u. I saw a girl go on live with her moms and they was both was talking about who the daughter smashed. Teenage daughter. shyt like that. Parents trying to be friends. I have an older cousin who has pics on stage rapping shirtless with his pants saggin and a 40 in his hand. That same person been a fukking successful stock broker for over 25 years. nikka was golfing with Jordan before the pandemic. Until we started solving the root of these issues. They gonna keep happening. But y’all don’t hear me tho. It ain’t the the music don’t need an adjustment. It’s that resources are going into the wrong shyt. And y’all wonder why this is a fukking cycle. Cause people can’t see the forest from the trees. It's not about him banning it. It's about it getting deplatformed. If I go on twitter or YouTube right now and post a video saying how I'm gonna kill XYZ people the next time I see them, no one is shocked if it gets taken down. But if I do the same shyt over some 808s it's OK. There's more than enough evidence at this point that this isn't just entertainment. Homicide is the number 1 cause of death in young black men. shyt is literally a public health crisis in the community. Any impact, even at the margins, is welcome at this point.
