Is 1Oak as good as the hype? Never been but the chicks around meatpacking on the weekends :takedat:. For you cheapos there are still plenty of spots to get cheap drinks before you hit your final lounge/bar for the night. If you're in Williamsburg there is the Charleston where you can get a beer and personal sized pizza for $4 bucks. If you're in Manhattan in West Village you can go to 1849 and get 25 cent wings and the drinks are about $4 bucks. Plenty of other places but those first come to mind.
It's worth the hype if you get in on a good night. If it's a celeb like Leo or Bradley in town they going to stock the spot with model girls and hiphop which is a great combo.
The door is tough unless you get loot, a good look or have a connect . Without one of the above prepare to wait and most likely get dissed.

Genrification and hipsters sucking the soul out of the city. I knew shyt was bad when I was strolling around fort Greene with my homie walking towards the F train stop by the Manhattan bridge where you had a million dollar condo with a bunch of yuppies who happen to be white strolling around on some "do you belong here" directly right across the street from the projects hood as fukk with nothing black and hispanics. It was like seriously? It was like the disparity is real. Too real. It was like the old brooklyn and the new brooklyn. I saw everything wrong with america at the moment right there. You could see and sense that something was not right.

I can't stand the hipsters because they love to talk a good talk and are all about presentation but when it boils down to it, it's just that. They are the exact opposite. Not all of them but for the most part, the level of arrogance as if they are so smart and whatever yet they ain't smart enough to figure out why the fukk they are in nyc paying out the ass living with a bunch of roommates or paying 2,000 dollars a month for a small ass room. Makes no damn sense.

delayed trains everyday :mjcry:, even if you take the train at 3am sometimes you see the mta workers and caution tape and you know you wont' be home til the sun comes up
crowded trains during rush hour
bikers who think they are immune to stop lights
hipsters who try too hard
halal people charging more than 6 bucks for street meat
people who aren't from NYC ignoring where they are really from

that's about it

oh yea, high school kids on the train from 3-5.. kids are mad annoying

Who takes regular cabs in 2016? Get yourself an Uber account and stop playing.
