Raise your kids don’t let entertainment raise them

i grew up with 90’s “gangsta rap era” no internet so it was really influential and potent but i never felt the need to be violent cause my mom would whip my ass

she was heavy Pentecostal so i had to hide my tapes and cds

Y’all need to stop blaming the music. NYC drill music ain’t even that good to be influential. Ny just reverting back to its old ways.

Blame COVID for a lot of it, its that NY is trying to shed its image from 2008 to 2014 when everyone was rapping like French Montana, trying to be like ATL 2.0 with strip club anthems. NY never been a strip club tricking city like ATL, and when Drill died out in Chicago (literally), NY jumped on it and never looked back; cause a lot of NYers took pride of being this big, scary city that intimidated outsiders and the strip club era was the anti-thesis of that.
