Flash Mob Mayhem: Violent Groups Of Teens Leave Neighborhoods Worried « CBS New York

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Violent, thieving mobs have been making headlines across the country for the past few years, and now they have hit New York City.

And Maurice Dubois reported in this CBS 2 investigation, the teen mobs have left neighborhoods worried as businesses take matters into their own hands.

Judson Bennett, 78, recently ran into a violent group of teens – often described with the once-benign term “flash mob” – as he made his daily trip to buy a newspaper at his favorite news team.

“I’m approaching the newsstand, and then suddenly there is a tremendous force behind me,” Bennett said.

Bennett ended up with a broken arm.

“I was taken completely by surprise,” he said.

You don't hear flash mobs in Texas and I think we know the reason why....

If you want to be shot be just being in the wrong place texas is fine.

Everything has it's risk. These kids are fooling around because no one is bold enough to call them to order.

I remember the first time I stole something, my father whipped the sh!t out of me, I never stole his stuff again.

All you have to do is have a business owner flash his gun and these fake thugs will know they aint about that life. :pachaha:

Smh...then what do you think should be done? Yeah i used to do crap that "kids will be kids" and my parents used to tell whoever it was they would handle it. When i got my ass home I'd get my ass beat, games taken away, etc. I remember one time my dad woke me up at 2am (he was a hole in the wall dj) and whipped my ass because one of my teachers called him and he thought i did something wrong.

Maybe if parents start being parents and bytching out Maybe the kids wont be the way they are. Well since thats not the case if a business owner needs to protect his property so be it and as a parent don't come bytching when your kid is being buried.
