And also the shift in weather this year was crazy. Feels like it was just ten days ago we was still rockin shorts and t shirts running around in near 3 digit weather. Than out of nowhere it drops to 55 and we flooded. Crazy.
I'm trynna grow flowers out here and shockingly, they've maintained, even through all this shytty weather. Its about to be warm this week tho so I'm cutting everything back and letting them get they late- season shine on. I have other flowers for the cold weather.

Oh and one more thing........am I the only one disappointed by the sever lack of sundresses this year. :mjcry: Are my NY ladies truly leaving this graceful fashion statement in the 2010s? :mjcry: I miss tight sundresses in the summer :mjcry:

I wore sundresses. :francis:

I was living in Brooklyn near Gerritsen Beach when Sandy hit. They are at sea level right at the shore and maybe get up to 10 ft. My apt was at like 15 ft. Spent most of the night in my car after I moved it from under the trees. Went out the next day after the water had receded and all of the cars in Gerritsen were strewn about like toys. I was like "Why the fukk did everyone park like this?" Then it hit me that they were floating all night and this is where they were left. I could smell Breezy point burning like it was next door. No power for like 3-4 days. shyt was wack. I love NYC but they gotta do some serious soul searching because this is gonna get worse and worse, faster and faster.

BRING IN DUTCH ENGINEERS!!!
We were in Harlem for Sandy. Ppl in our building were actually hosting a lot of ppl bc we're so far above sea level. In my mother's building, her Chinese (no English) neighbor hosted his daughter and her family. They apparently lived on the upper west side. They were upper middle class class seeking safety in a section 8 building, we laughed. :skip: I later became acquaintances with the young daughter. :skip:

We were in Amsterdam fall of 2015, for a month. It rained like hell, i believe we caught h1n1 or some shyt, true story. I would hope that they'd figured something out, that shyt was terrible.

That’s a nationwide epidemic brotha. I was saying the same all summer. IDK about where you at but seems like abandoned them for spandex shorts. Have seen an uptick in tennis skirts from the pawgs making a comeback tho.

We straight. We survived Sandy with champagne and lobster rolls (not on purpose, a regular weekend turn up). A LOT of lobster rolls, and our yorkie- amazingly- 'held it' until the storm was over. :skip:

We're in a new location (bk) but, bc we landscaped properly, the shrubs, plants, and flowers are absorbing the water nicely. We went out early yesterday for lunch and were only mildly bothered. I'm thinking I need new rainboots.:yeshrug:

My mother, in Harlem proper, was only slightly inconvenienced. She had to take a cab to do her normal old lady runs around the city. :ld:
Us coli fam wishing yall the best. Stay safe.
