Just watched it for the first time last year when Amazon Prime had it for free. Definitely one of the GOAT TV shows. That show had that much nudity yet it was on ABC in the 90s and early-mid 2000s.

Sipowitz character was tony soprano before tony soprano.
Ima run this now actually. The mid seasons are peak nyc cop show. Great actors too in all the minor roles. It set many trends.

I’ve seen Mos Def on here, Sanaa Lathan, Viola Davis, Katt Williams, Wood Harris etc
A few porn stars were on here too (RayVaness, Vanessa Del Rio and Ginger Lynn)

I am not a huge fan of the soundtrack but everything else is piff. The cases, the stories, the jokes, the "oh no way" guest appearances.
Sipowicz grows on you slowly over time and you start caring about all the main characters and their lives and worries.
The show also has a Black man as the Lieutenant..
My concern is how long it'll take me to get through all the seasons and episodes... I also want to watch the original Law & Order.

Facts. I love how they show how flawed and human all the characters were, especially Andy Spiowicz.
It’ll take you a while to get through the whole series because it’s 12 seasons and like 20 episodes each season

They made the switch from John Kelly to Bobby Simone because actor David Caruso wanted a raise.

It picks up when franze becomes the main. Then it gets a little too much at the end during peak popularity but like season 3-8 are dope feom whay i remember.
First season caruso era is rough but broke new ground for shows like sopranos and the wire.
Jimmy smits era is the peak
Ricky shroeder era wasnt bad. Plots get a lil wild but franz carries.
Zack morris / latino captain era it starts to get a little much.
