Two things,
I don't think they care about judges doing them favors in the future, there's 12 of them, that's enough dudes to hold you down favor wise.
Second, that may be the situation for cops doing stop'n'frisk, but you don't show up to a specific apartment without a tip.
So the cops were doing their job, just showing up to a house which had received complaints. Their job as officers is to ask questions, make it known they're in the community, etc. etc. Showing up that strong is an instigatory move. In court it might be hard to pull some shyt on an innocent person, but if you're on the witness stand saying "We received a call first, a complaint about drugs being sold from that apartment. We went to follow up on the complaint, and at that time the suspect assaulted us". Even if the judge "

" there's so much shyt going against the suspect that unless you're 100% certain it's a corrupt cop, you're not gonna risk your job as a judge, which you worked 8+ years in law school to get and is tenured af on a suspicion he fukked a soon to be convicted drug dealer over.
