I can't prove this but I've always had a feeling cops just be driving around/parking in quiet areas and clocking in multiple overtime hours doing nothing.

Some of these cops be on a 50k salary and somehow going home with 130k at the end of the year.

That's exactly what they do. In junior high I had a friend whose dad was a cop who worked the night shift. He said he would find a quiet spot, park his car and go to sleep for hours. Of course he would respond to calls or whatever but dude used to basically go to work and go to sleep.
