Yeah, Latin kings were deep as hell in ny at one point. They're really the reason why ny hopped on the gang wave.

But they originally come from Chicago.

fukk them though :pacspit:
hasn't NY had gangs since the 70s? Isn't the movie The Warriors loosely based on that?
Also Afrika Bambooty notwithstanding didn't the Zulu Nation help curb a lot of gang violence that was going on in the late 70s/early 80s?

New York fukking up Chicago gangs Lmao . Forever over Latin Kings .. That is not the folk nation . New York nikkas may have just became CACS for that

I’m convinced as soon as people see the words “New York” in here, they become autistic. People brought up drill music when NYC Folk Nation was around for almost 30 years. It’s not just in Chicago, it’s all over but I forgot because in the coli, Bloods and Crips only exist in L.A. People don’t know what nationwide means. Forever over Latin Kings :russ: You believe that, right? Crips affiliates. This article was horrible.

Were you around a lot of Hispanic brehs?

Cause it was mostly Puerto Rican’s repping back in the day. Then dudes with Other Latino Heritage started getting down.

Now, from what I here, any nationality can join.
nah there weren't a lot of Hispanic brehs. At the time Hispanic brehs weren't deep in Indiana line that period. But a lot of the nikkas I went to school with were gd or folks, crips and bloods really weren't popping like that where I lived.

Things may have changed now tho, I'm pretty :flabbynsick:

The kirk to the fields
69 was compared to Fredro or Sticky Fingas- Onyx, I think
"South suicide queens".:wow:... does sound mad familiar
:ohhh:

:ohhh: Yeah I kinda hear it. I doubt it's intentional though.

I don't know who 69 is TRYING to sound like, but he ends up sounding more unique than the other wannabe drill rappers.

Even Bobby sounded slightly different.

I'm pretty sure NY has had gangs since the 1800s like most cities around that time.

But Latin kings were the first large gang out there.

69 said he was inspired by rondonumbanine (who's one of the most :trash: rappers I've ever heard in my life). Nikkas was comparing him to onyx simply due to proxy.

Dude is only 22 yet folks talking about "he sounds like he grew up on onyx":laff:
Hmmm..never heard that Rondo comparison. All I know is that 69 is not original. I mean I didn't grow up on Onxy either but I know about them and they're sound enough where I could hear the influence. Especially being around the older generation. 69 was around older dudes, that had influence over his dialect . Just like they say Don Q sounds similar to Kool G Rap, Troy Ave- has a lot of 90s influence in his sound "Pain" and "never switch" ..that's straight up 90s style. First time I heard Rondo was on, like the 100th version of hang with me , I thought dude was in his 40s with that voice .

Nah he hisself said that rondo inspired him to rap. Hes even bit his cadence on a couple of his songs. Not to mention they both scream at the mic.

Btw I didn't mean you personally, I'm referring to the hiphop community in general when comparing him with onyx. :mjlol:I mean, I do see the comparison, but these people were trying to make it seem like the guy really came up idolizing Sticky fingaz:dead: That's way before his time.
