The girl he beat (most recently) is a bartender at a Queens stripclub. Joe will return the phone tonight and reconcile with her battered/bruised ass. Then she will accompany him to the police station(s) to drop all chargers.

does it work like that? i thought in abuse cases (well at least in new york) once police gets involved and a report is filed it's up to the district attorney to drop charges and not the victim. chances are if buddens show up with the victim at a precinct he get booked.
