The older black voters will move to Zohran

One thing he’s doing is putting in the work
No the fukk they won't lol

Older Black people don't want anything to do with Socialism. Same with older Hispanic and Latino people.

That's why if you look at the map of the primary, his support comes from the gentrified and rapidly gentrifying parts of the city.

He is propped up by the same transplants and colonizers that y'all claim to hate, who are actually pricing the people of color out of this city.

I warned this board about Eric Adams and they celebrated until they found out who he was.

It will be the same with this guy.

You’re stuck in the primary. He’s run a different campaign since becoming the Dem nominee.

Zohran will likely win about 40-45% of the Black vote in November. He has consolidated good chunk of the Dem base. This includes some of the older black voters.

Adams is corrupt. Cuomo is a loser who’s getting a third of the black vote which is mostly boomers.

“I just want to make clear nobody around Zohran is trying to take Black people’s homes. Quite the opposite. He wants to make sure that we’re able to stay in our homes.”

From further in the piece:
“Mamdani has responded by highlighting his campaign proposal to tackle the city's onerous property tax system. The notoriously complex system has gone without reform for decades, resulting in an antiquated structure that taxes homeowners in more affluent neighborhoods at much lower rates than those in poorer areas. Mamdani has also said he would end a city policy to sell tax liens when homeowners fall behind on their property taxes. The policy has been found to disproportionally affect Black and brown homeowners, resulting in the loss of their homes to foreclosure.”

It's called voting for survival.

In the primaries, Older black people vote for the Dem they think has the best chance to win the general election because they know what a worse version of America looks like. They'll show up in the general election for him

Why do you clowns not pay attention. It doesnt matter how he won the primary.

HE HAD MORE VOTERS IN THE PRIMARY THEN THE GENERAL ELECTION EVER HAD IN THE HISTORY OF THE GENERAL ELECTION.

There is not a magical group of voters out there. More people showed up for the primary than the general. If the same mount of people show up, he wins period.

I REPEAT.

THERE HAS NEVER BEEN MORE VOTERS DURING A GENERAL ELECTION THAN THE AMOUNT OF VOTERS WHO SHOWED UP IN THIS PRIMARY

:mjlol: at thinking older blacks give a fukk about socialism versus neoliberalism. People just want to be able to pay their bills.

And yes a lot of older Hispanics are racist which is why they hate socialism. They were forced to share wealth with their black neighbors

It’s a generational divide. Cuomo won older Black voters while younger Black voters leaned towards Zohran.

Older Black folks keep moving down south due to affordability issues and that’s why they have lost influence. It sucks but it is what it is.

It’s time to discuss that our black boomers are like white boomers in that they are not aligning with the black youth. Bernie Sanders saw the same thing. He won the younger black vote but since older black voters are more consistent and larger votes they went towards Biden.

I'm going to bet on Older Black voters will vote for Mamdani in the General Election. Usually, Black voters vote for the Name Brand Establishment candidate. No one knew him before the primary. Now that Mamdani won and his name is established, Older Black voters will vote for him.

Crazy because not only is Bernie there contemporary, his policies align with what they wanted and rallied for in their youth.
