Alimony is only awarded in 10% of divorces and most of them is white men and women paying each other. Black people dont pay alimony like that. Our average income is $45-55k and our men and women make about the same.

But more black men are entering those higher income brackets, so it does concern black men and their assets like owning a home, cars, and so on. :ld:

Not to mention the child support issue.

Black women are also “entering higher income brackets” and men and women who are high earners are more likely to marry each other and remain married. The majority of Black men are not high enough earners nor do they earn significantly more than their spouses. Couple that with the fact that alimony is rarely awarded period and again this is not a serious concern.

And prenups are also a good way for people to protect themselves.

:beli: I said industries outside of IT and Engineering, is mostly female dominated.

You assume that if we ain't like you, all (black) men are broke and have no formal education. Only a few level headed posters in this thread are merely pointing out that most white collar jobs, the EMPLOYERS choose women over men for numerous reason. The fact that you are scared of addressing corruption from shady authority, says a lot about your character and not about systemic dysfunction at large.

Me? Since you falsely accused me of being broke and uneducated and lazy, I graduated from HU back in 09 as a double major and been working nonstop since. Got Me my own assets and OWN the place I live in. To be the only black male in an office setting from women of all races dominating lower and mid management, its been the norm for women,to feel that men are lazy because they don't see them in office setting anymore. The article is utter propaganda and since you doubled down on "lazy soft black men" that aint making 400k per year on some mini-Tony Stark shyt, you revealed that you some crab in a barrel azz dude that didnt take his time to understand CONTEXT. Just "black men lazy. Black men let women surpassed them. Black men not like me are soft bums."

I mean, get ya daps. Most men in here are not broke by any means.
You see @Gloxina dapping all his posts :sas2:

Always count on the media to cherrypick data to make it appear women are doing better than men for clicks, while also complaining about lack of opportunities for women and unequal pay compared to men.

A whopping 2.64 million more homes owned by single women with little context across America than men:whoo:This means men are falling behind and women are choosing to be single:troll: Even though most single Millennials/Gen-Z are priced out of home-ownership completely regardless of gender, and the majority of ranting about home prices/COL is from women.

Spread lies and propaganda, breh. Be a pawn to shoddy articles and narratives.
You learn quickly in alot of these threads alot of these nikkas get in here to boast about their money, accomplishments and success and do it under the guise of trying to motivate other black men .

They don't acknowledge legitimate points against their position and just resort to insults and personal attacks to frame the majority of black men as losers so they can get daps and have someone to look down on.:francis:

Just like them rappers like Meek Mill or Birdman, coming into spaces and boasting about their accomplishments, talking about how if you not Tony Stark Jr, you don't deserve to eat and you something less than a human being. Dude really thinks That black men are bumming out just cause they ain't on IT or Engineering spaces. Yes, I agree we need more berhs in those professions, but not bash and kick and berate black men that are not in those spaces, for one reason or another.

According to his "logic", I must have only $25 for my life savings and work in a dead end job making only $28k a year.:heh:

Might have been in this very thread, a poster spoke of his father and uncles being accomplished, and giving him great advice.
BDizzle says much the same thing, that his father and uncles etc were there.

Any person who has to figure it out, will always be at a disadvantage.
Most of us did not have a certain foundation.
Making our own paths.

Take notice also of the complaints regarding Kevin Samuels.
"Yall did not have professional men in your lives to give you advice? ahahhahahahahahaha"

It is almost shaming those who seek mentors. Simply cause they cannot imagine never having one.
This repeats itself over and over again.

Some of my greatest influences were teachers, coaches, gangstaz, church, men in business who I respected and gave good advice. And yes men in my family. Even strangers.

I say that to say, whenever any of us run into young black men, deal with them in respectable ways.
Give good advice.
It will be remembered forever.

Agreed, but sometimes you really have to want those things to get it. Information is at our fingertips for every career path and every financial path.

It's a 50/50 combination of:

1) No guidance
2) No hunger

Nobody told me to go to college. Parents didn't go to college. Nobody informed me about 401k, Roth Ira, Credit Scores, stock market, etc. If 15 yr old me had money I'd have bought Netflix and Amazon shares.

So while young black men have no guidance, it also seems like they don't have the hunger to do better.

That is the point though.
If your father or someone told you about Netflix or Amazon then, you would have bought it.

You figured it out yourself.
If you continue on your path, your kid will be on the coli in 20 years laughing at folks whose parents did not invest.

Mostly everyone from writers to doctors, STAND on the shoulders of those before them.
Using their knowledge and their hard work to build on.

A lot of young blk men are attempting to make a new wheel.
Having no idea how cars work.
Yes they can google it, yet there is but so much you can learn independently.

Say what you want about thecoli, I have seen in the short time I am here, guys ask advice in 6certs room, and in months are making 6 figures.
Communities are necessary. Help is necessary.
